Answers to common questions about Coloro — coloring pages, AI generation, the online editor, and account settings.
Getting Started
What is Coloro?▼
Coloro is a free library of thousands of printable coloring pages for kids and adults, plus an AI generator that creates unique coloring pages from a text prompt. You can browse by category, print pages at home, or color them directly in the browser.
Are the coloring pages really free?▼
Yes. Every coloring page on Coloro is free to download, print, and color for personal and educational use. We also offer a limited number of free AI generations per day at no cost.
Do I need an account to use Coloro?▼
No account is required to browse, print, or color pages online. Signing in gives you a higher AI generation quota, lets you share artwork in the community gallery, and saves your editor sessions across devices.
What devices does Coloro support?▼
Coloro works in any modern browser on desktop, tablet, and mobile. Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox are fully supported. The online editor also works with stylus input on tablets.
Printing & Downloads
How do I print a coloring page?▼
Open any page and click the Print button. Your browser will open the standard print dialog where you can choose paper size, margins, and orientation. For best results we recommend A4 or US Letter at 100% scale with normal margins.
What file format are downloads?▼
Coloring pages are provided as high-resolution PNG files with a transparent or white background. PNG prints crisply at any standard paper size and is supported by every printer driver and image viewer.
What paper should I use?▼
Standard 80–120 gsm copy paper works for crayons and colored pencils. For markers, gel pens, or watercolors choose 160 gsm or heavier so the ink does not bleed through. Cardstock (200 gsm+) is ideal for framed final pieces.
Why does my print look pixelated?▼
Make sure you are printing the original PNG (not a screenshot), the print scale is set to 100%, and your printer is set to at least 300 DPI. Drag-and-drop the file directly into a print dialog instead of printing the web page itself.
I do not have a printer — can I still use Coloro?▼
Yes. Click Color Online on any page to open the in-browser editor — no print needed. You can also save your colored result as a PNG and finish it on a tablet with stylus input.
AI Generation
How does the AI coloring page generator work?▼
You describe what you want — for example "a unicorn in a magical garden" — pick a style and difficulty, and our model produces a clean line-art coloring page in a few seconds. Each generation creates a unique image that you can color online or download as PNG.
How many AI pages can I generate per day?▼
Anonymous visitors get a small daily quota and signed-in users get a higher one. The current limits are shown in real time on the Generate page above the prompt field.
What makes a good prompt?▼
Be specific about the subject and the setting, and stick to one main scene. Phrases like "cute baby owl wearing a wizard hat in a forest" work better than abstract or list-style prompts. Avoid copyrighted character names — use descriptive features instead.
What styles are available?▼
Simple (bold lines, fewer details — for kids), Detailed (rich illustration), Mandala (symmetrical patterns), Cartoon, Realistic, and Zentangle (intricate repeating motifs). Difficulty controls the line density: Kids, All ages, or Advanced.
The AI did not draw what I asked. What now?▼
Each generation is independent. Click Generate again with the same prompt for a different attempt, or refine the prompt — adding details about pose, mood, or background usually helps. The previous generations stay in your recent list.
Online Coloring Editor
What tools does the online editor have?▼
Brush, fill bucket (respects line boundaries), eraser, text, undo/redo, zoom, color palette, brush size, and opacity. The free-drawing mode also lets you start from a blank canvas.
Does the editor save my progress?▼
Yes. Your work is auto-saved in the browser as you go. When you reopen the same coloring page we offer to continue where you left off or start fresh. Signed-in users keep sessions across devices.
How do I save my colored version?▼
Click Download PNG to save the result as a high-resolution image. You can also click Save & Share to add it to the public gallery so other visitors can see your work.
The fill tool leaks past the lines. How do I fix it?▼
Bucket fill follows connected pixels. If a line has a gap, color escapes through it. Zoom in and use the Brush to close the gap, then try Fill again. AI-generated pages occasionally have soft lines — bumping brush size before filling helps.
Does the editor work on phones and tablets?▼
Yes. Touch input is fully supported. On tablets you can also use Apple Pencil or any active stylus for pressure control if your browser exposes it.
Account & Sign-in
Why should I sign in?▼
Signed-in users get a larger daily AI quota, can publish artwork to the community gallery, and have their editor sessions synced across devices. Sign-in is optional for everything else.
What data does Coloro collect about me?▼
We store the email and display name from your Google sign-in, your AI generation history (so you can revisit them), and any artworks you publish. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I delete my account?▼
Email us at the address listed on the Contact page from the email you used to sign in and we will remove your account, sessions, generations, and any non-public artwork within 14 days.
Community Gallery & Sharing
How do I share my colored version?▼
On any coloring page click Upload Art and choose a photo or PNG of your finished piece. You can add a caption and your name. Submissions appear in the community gallery and on the original coloring page.
Will I get credit for my artwork?▼
Yes. Your display name (and a link if you provide one) appears under each artwork you upload. You retain rights to your colored version — Coloro only displays it.
Can I remove an artwork I uploaded?▼
Yes. Email us with the gallery link and the email you used to sign in, and we will take it down within a few days. Artworks uploaded anonymously can be removed by emailing the URL together with proof you authored it (e.g. the source file).
Copyright & Usage Rights
Can I use Coloro pages for commercial purposes?▼
Pages from our library are free for personal and educational use only. For commercial use — selling printed coloring books, merchandise, or paid classroom packages — please contact us first. AI-generated pages you create are subject to our Generation Terms covered in the License page.
Can teachers print and distribute the pages?▼
Yes — classroom and non-profit educational use is welcome at no cost. You can print, photocopy, and distribute pages to your students. Please do not republish them on commercial worksheet sites.
Who owns AI-generated coloring pages?▼
AI-generated images are licensed to you under the same personal-and-educational terms as the rest of the library. Note that current copyright law in many jurisdictions does not grant exclusive ownership over purely AI-generated content — see the License page for jurisdiction-specific notes.
Troubleshooting
A coloring page will not load. What can I do?▼
Refresh the page first. If it still does not load, clear your browser cache or try a different browser. Some corporate networks block our image CDN — switching to mobile data is a quick test. Contact us with the page URL if the issue persists.
AI generation failed or hung. What now?▼
Try again — most failures are transient and the failed attempt does not consume your quota. If you keep getting errors, your prompt may be flagged by safety filters; rephrase it to remove any words that could be read as violent or explicit.
What browsers are supported?▼
The latest two versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox. Internet Explorer is not supported. The editor uses HTML5 Canvas and works best with hardware acceleration enabled.
