1. Our Principles
We host (a) a library of coloring pages curated by us, (b) AI-generated images created from user prompts, and (c) artwork uploaded by community members. We act expeditiously to remove or disable content that we believe in good faith infringes copyright, and we maintain a repeat-infringer policy.
If you find your work on Coloro without permission, please send us a notice as described below — there is no need to escalate to lawyers as a first step. Most issues resolve quickly.
2. DMCA Notice (United States)
To file a notice under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), include all of the following in your written communication. Notices that omit any item may not be actionable.
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g. a registration number, a link to the original, or a description sufficient to identify it);
- the URL on Coloro of the allegedly infringing material so we can locate it;
- your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner, or are authorised to act on behalf of the owner, of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Send notices to our designated agent via the Contact page with "DMCA Notice" in the subject line. We will acknowledge receipt within two business days and act within ten business days for clear notices.
Misrepresentations under §512(f) carry liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
3. EU — Digital Services Act Notice
For users in the European Union, you may submit a notice under Article 16 of the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065). A valid DSA notice should include:
- a sufficiently substantiated explanation of why you consider the content illegal;
- a clear indication of the exact location of the content (URL);
- your name and contact details (unless the content concerns offences against minors);
- a statement of good faith that the information is accurate and complete.
We will provide a confirmation of receipt and a reasoned decision without undue delay. EU-based users have access to out-of-court dispute settlement bodies certified under Article 21 DSA.
4. United Kingdom
UK rights-holders may rely on the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and the e-Commerce Regulations 2002 (or its post-Brexit equivalents). A signed letter or email containing the same information as a DMCA notice (substituting "good-faith belief" for the §512 statement of perjury) will be treated as a valid notice. Send it via the Contact page marked "UK Copyright Notice".
5. Canada — Notice-and-Notice
Under sections 41.25–41.27 of the Copyright Act of Canada, rights-holders may send a Notice and we will forward it to the alleged infringer where possible (typically the user who uploaded the content). The Notice must contain the information listed in s. 41.25(2). We do not charge a fee for forwarding notices.
6. Brazil & Latin America
Under Brazil's Marco Civil da Internet (Law 12.965/2014), we generally remove copyright-infringing content upon a valid extrajudicial notice that identifies the work and the URL; for some categories of content the Marco Civil requires a court order. Most other Latin American jurisdictions follow a similar notice-based regime. Send notices via the Contact page marked "Aviso de direitos autorais" or "Notificación de derechos de autor".
7. Counter-Notices
If your content was removed and you believe the removal was the result of mistake or misidentification, you can send us a counter-notice. Under §512(g) DMCA your counter-notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- your consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., the Northern District of California), and your agreement to accept service from the original notifier.
If we receive a valid counter-notice we will forward it to the original notifier and may restore the material 10–14 business days later, unless they file an action seeking a court order.
8. Repeat-Infringer Policy
We terminate accounts that, in our reasonable judgement, have engaged in repeated copyright infringement. Multiple unresolved valid notices against the same account will lead to suspension and possible permanent termination. We document our enforcement decisions to satisfy §512(i) DMCA, Art. 17(4) of the EU Copyright Directive, and equivalent rules.
9. False or Abusive Notices
Filing materially false notices to take down legitimate content can expose you to liability under §512(f) DMCA, equivalent EU provisions and the laws of your jurisdiction. We may share information about abusive notice campaigns with affected users so they can pursue available remedies.
10. Designated Agent
Our designated agent for receiving copyright notices is the Coloro Copyright Team. Reach the agent via the Contact page with "DMCA Notice", "DSA Notice" or your local equivalent in the subject line. We respond in English, German, Spanish or Portuguese, as available.
